2nd Annual BIPOC
Virtual Play Fest
July 12-August 14

Have you been craving theatre for us by us told through our lenses? Then look no further! Perceptions Theatre presents our 2nd BIPOC Play Festival dedicated to showcasing one act plays by talented playwrights of color. We have brought together 4 playwrights, 4 directors and 10 actors from South Shore, Chicago and the surrounding areas! You will have access to this festival virtually from July 12th-August 14th! Until August 14th we will continue to update this platform with behind the scene features from playwrights, actors, directors and more. These plays offer four diverse, intriguing tales that explore: the chaos of love triangle; the dangers of succession politics; suppressed childhood trauma; and police brutality. Thank you for joining us and enjoy the show!

Kingdom by: Nic Bell

Explores the ideas of family, duty, free will, and the inevitability of fate. It aims to challenge what we think we know, by showing us we don’t really know anything. Can we make a stand for what’s right? Or are we doomed to repeat the sins of our fathers?
