About the Event

Perceptions Theatre Presents our 3rd Annual BIPOC Play Fest! This festival highlights Chicago Playwrights of Color and this year we have 6 talented playwrights. Have you been craving theatre for us by us told through our lenses? Then look no further! Perceptions Theatre presents our 3rd Annual BIPOC Playwrights Festival dedicated to showcasing one act plays by theses talented playwrights. We have brought together 6 playwrights, 6 directors and 15 actors from South Shore, Chicago all the way to Northern Suburbs for our third annual festival! So save the date you don’t want to miss these plays from  colorism, life lessons, family dynamics, never forgetting where you come from and so much more!

One Acts: Shed by LN McConnell; Scorpio by alfonzo kahlil; Raisin Puffs by Andre Richardson Hogan II; La Medici of Belvery Hills by William Gregory; swc: shopping while colored by Toma Lynn Smith; and The Hero and The Lost Boy by Estefania Unzueta
